Affirmation of marital status for marriage in Turkey

Ms G T and Mr K V were planning their wedding in Turkey. The Turkish authorities required their identification documents to be authenticated and affirmations of marital status to be signed, with their signatures being witnessed and notarial seal affixed. To complete the legal formalities, the certificates then needed to be legalised by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office before production to the Turkish authorities.
